I became a triathlete by accident. I grew up running, biking and swimming like most kids. The running turned into football and then rugby. The biking turned into racing BMX and then into racing motocross. The swimming turned into surfing, wakeboarding and kayaking. A string of injuries forced me to look for safer ways to continue to train and compete. Triathalon was a perfect fit.   Balancing training, family and work is a challenge that I welcome. Early morning workouts get me home by 7 before my 2 daughters wake up, so I am not missing any family time. I have also found training in the morning is a great way to prepare myself mentally for the work day.   Training tip: Keep it fun!!! Mix up your workouts. I try to paddle my kayak or ride some Moto whenever I get a chance.   Finishing the B2B ½  in under 6 hours    I plan on running my 1st marathon March 21st. I am signed up for the White Lake ½  May 1st. I plans on doing some sprints this summer and the B2B ½ again in November.   Favorite quote: “ sometimes we all need to bite off way more then we can chew “ – the great David Bailey, Ironman Hawaii winner in the paraplegic class and National Motocross and Supercross Champion   Bill Boyer
