Jackie Pierce needs goals to keep him off the couch. He is always looking for a challenge and refuses to get old without a fight. He says that it gets really difficult to balance his training and spend time with his wife and three daughters, but “they understand, most of the time.” Having to constantly balance his family, his business, and his training, he has become a pro at making every workout count. He focuses on key workouts and everything else is an added bonus. Jackie said that he most proud of his 2008 White Lake Half race because he learned so much when he bonked, a true testament to his determination. Less than a month later he raced brilliantly at the Topsail Surf N Turf Triathlon placing top ten in the overall standings.  Jackie recently finished IM Brazil and did it with ease.  "Jackie Pierce....you are now an Iron Man!"

Training Tips:
Pull up with your legs on hills.  This will allow your legs to be fresh when you get to the top.
