Talked into competing in a triathlon by one of my best friends. From there, it became an addiction.
How do you balance training, family, work, and life in general?
It's tricky. I love my career and work long days. Fortunately, the group of people that surround me in this sport of triathlon have become my best friends so my training life and personal life are ONE. So my house isn't as clean as it used to be and the laundry pile is a bit taller...my life will still carry on.
Good training tip?
Seek out sources of motivation. They are everywhere. And If you feel like you need a rest day, then take a rest day and don't feel bad about it. Tomorrow is another day.
Races that you are most proud of and why?
NYC Nautica Triathlon and Chicago Triple Challenge triathlons. Both challenging races and my performance exceeded my expectations. I was there with an inspiring, fun group of fellow triathletes and my dad. We made some incredible memories those weekends.
