3 Little Pigs Sprint Tri in Smithfield

This was my first ever pool swim triathlon and I have to say that I will never do another. I suppose it was my own fault for not anticipating the logistics of a pool swim. I am used to open water swims where you start in waves and at the most you only have to wait about 15 min to get into the water. In a pool swim you can only start one at a time and even though someone goes every 10 seconds if you are #360 like I was that is alot of 10 seconds to add up. Even though the race started at 8am I didnt start my swim until 9am. Other than that the course was wonderful. I even enjoyed the swim once I got in the water. <img src='http://www.bikecycleshop.com/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif' align="absmiddle" border="0" />

White Lake Weekends

These past two weekends at White Lake, NC (aka Wildflower East) were awesome! White Lake is the perfect place for a race. I had a great opportunity to participate and enjoyed the lack of car traffic on the 1/2 course and the speed of the sprint race course. IF you get the opportunity to race at White Lake in a SetUpevents race you have to do it. To really get the full experience you need to camp out in the cabins for Friday, Saturday nights.....just awesome and very family friendly.

Sunday Azalea race was definitely harder than Saturdays!

The Saturday race was warm and the wind was light. The Sunday race was cold and the wind was blowing way harder. I think the pool water was even thicker...
