White Lake Accommodations

Does anyone have any recommendations of hotels / motels during the Whitelake Tri Weekends? I heard some places can be nasty, I am not looking 5 stars but I don't really want to camp or dorm it either...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Ren
Possible new Rail-Trail Connecting Fayetteville and Wilmington,NC

We can help www.railstotrails.org develop a 90 mile link between Battleship Wilmington and Fayetteville! The trail will use the Seaboard Coast Line railroad corridor. The track was abandoned in 1970 and presents an excellent opportunity for trail development. PENDER county residents have until Feb 28th to complete an online survey at www.pendercountync.gov to help lay out the master Comprehensive Parks and Reccreation Plan. If you are interested and live in Pender Co, go to the above site and fill out the survey. This trail would be HUGE for our area.

Inline Skating

There is a local group that has started an inline speed team at Jellybeans skating rink on Oleander drive. They meet on Tuesday nights at 8pm, Thursday and Friday nights. I worked out with them on Tuesday night and it was awesome. The workout lasts about an hour and is INTENSE. If you are looking for some cross training that will help you ride your bike faster, this could be it. This AM I am more sore than if I had raced a sprint!
